Stochastic Labs

Stochastic Labs is now accepting applications for our new artist/engineer in residence program!

Residencies include a private apartment in our historic Victorian mansion in Berkeley CA, work-space, access to shops (including tools such as a laser cutter the size of a bed and a shopbot), a $1000 a month stipend, and the ability to apply for more project funding.

Stochastic offers a reflective, creative environment wherein artists and engineers are encouraged to ask big picture questions about the future of technology. Stochastic is a nonprofit organization, for more information, visit stochasticlabs.org

While researching the Bay Area’s start-up culture for her upcoming comedy film on AI, Vero Bollow came to the conclusion that there should really be a place for artists, scientists, and engineers to hang out, be curious, and launch new ventures together, so she decided to found Stochastic Labs.

A graduate of UC Berkeley, she holds master’s degrees from MIT and the Columbia School of Journalism. She is also the director of the Minerva Foundation. wikipedia
